Course DescriptionThis course serves as an introduction to the art of creative design. We are going to explore the theory and practice of various design techniques to gain a better understanding of how to manipulate pixel based images and vector graphics. Through demonstrations and hands-on experience, students learn editing techniques to enable them to improve on their visual communication skills. Prerequisites:Must have a laptop and at least basic computer knowledge. Course ObjectivesAfter successful completion of this course the student should: – Better understand techniques creative designers use to communicate visually. – Have a thorough working knowledge of designing using popular design tools. – Understand image formats and color modes. – Understand color theory and color meanings. – Design business cards, posters, flyers, staff IDs, brochures etc. – Be able to retouch images by learning how to color correct and grading. Levels: Beginner & Advanced
